Africa — Back to the Origin
Africa is becoming a driving force in the global energy transition, and ALBEDO will showcase timing, testing, and monitoring technologies designed to reinforce smart grids, substations, and critical infrastructures across the continent.
KIGALI (RWANDA) NOV.25-27.2025
ALBEDO will participate as an exhibitor at Africa Energy Expo in Kigali
Africa Energy Expo is an emerging continental event focused on the modernization, resilience, and digital transformation of the African power and utility sector. The exhibition gathers utility operators, regulators, integrators, infrastructure developers, and technology suppliers to explore solutions for grid stability, energy transition, renewables integration, and critical infrastructure reliability.
As electrification expands across the region, precise synchronization, monitoring, and testing capabilities are becoming essential elements for substation automation, IEC 61850 deployments, Wide Area Networks, and smarter energy distribution architectures.
Zeus and Net.Time
ALBEDO will be present in Kigali showcasing our portfolio for utility and energy operators, including two of our flagship products: Zeus, the ultimate testing tool for field engineers, and Net.Time, the ideal synchronization solution for critical infrastructure.
- Zeus is a testing tool designed specifically for the power utility industry. It is the first tester on the market capable of validating PRP redundancy, capturing packets, and measuring performance in dual-LAN (LAN A/LAN B) architectures.

Designed for smart grid and critical infrastructure engineers, Zeus enables the testing and troubleshooting of:
- Ethernet/IP, PTP, PRP, GbE, IRIG-B, T1/E1, G.703, C37.94, GOOSE, SV, MMS
- One-way delay tests with GPS assistance on all interfaces
- Live data capture at wire-speed with programmable filters
- PCAP export and protocol decoding for GOOSE/SV/MMS
- Propagation-delay calculations between substations
Zeus supports full IEC 61850 commissioning, including synchronization, delay measurement, protocol analysis, and event detection, making it the ideal tool for laboratories and field deployments.

- Net.Time Ω is a next-generation synchronization clock. It is a PTP/NTP/SyncE appliance that can be configured as a master, boundary, or slave clock. It distributes time via PTP, NTP, SyncE, ToD, IRIG-B, 1PPS, T1/E1, and MHz signals. With a Rubidium atomic oscillator (or an optional OCXO), it provides exceptional holdover accuracy and time stability. The Net.Time Ω supports multiple clock references, including GNSS, PTP, NTP, SyncE, ToD, and IRIG-B, which can operate hierarchically. Its design simplifies the transition from legacy systems to modern PTP networks by offering seamless protocol translation and redundancy.
Key features
- Native PRP (DAN-P clock) — no Red Box required
- Supports and translates PTP Telecom and Power profiles
- Integrates heterogeneous networks and legacy interfaces
- OCXO/Rubidium internal oscillators for top stability
- Multiple I/O: PTP, NTP, SyncE, 1PPS, E1, T1, MHz, Mb/s
- PTP-to-all, NTP-to-PTP, IRIG-B-to-PTP protocol translation
